Baseball Recap: Taft Wildcats vs. Delano Tigers        
        
		
            
 Taft can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent  matchup  on Thursday. They beat the Delano Tigers by the very same score they won with in their prior game:  10-3. Winning may never get old, but Taft sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
  Chase Phillips made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he  struck out seven batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   six  hits (and only one walk). Phillips has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances. Phillips was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with a  triple, two  RBI,  and a  run.
 In other batting news,  Brock Heber was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with four  RBI, a  stolen base,  and a  run.  William Espinoza was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 On Delano's side,  ROBERTO GARCIA was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring a  run while  getting on base  in three of his six plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  AYDEN VASQUEZ, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 Taft is  on a roll lately: they've  won nine of their last ten games,  which provided a massive bump to their 18-9 record  this season. As for Delano,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 11-15.
 As of now, neither Taft nor Delano have any future games scheduled.
