Basketball Recap: Dooly County Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Jamonte Taylor and Sean Sallette

Dooly County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 66-61 heartbreaker at the hands of the Telfair County Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-43 last Saturday.

Despite the loss, Dooly County had strong showings from Sean Sallette, who went 10 for 23 en route to 28 points, and Jamonte Taylor, who went 9 of 22 on his way to 22 points along with five assists and five rebounds. That was a full 36.1% of Dooly County's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Javion Sanders, who had six points and 12 boards.

Even though they lost, Dooly County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in seven consecutive matches.
