Baseball Recap: Winamac Takes a Loss

Winamac couldn't beat Caston on Saturday even though they stacked four runs on them in the sixth inning. The Warriors fell just short of the Comets by a score of 8-7. Warriors fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Comets since on Saturday.

Hutch Martin made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double. Another player making a difference was Cody Wheeler, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Winamac moved to 11-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Caston, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Winamac has already played their next contest, a 10-6 win against South Central on the 6th. As for Caston, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 24-7 loss against Lafayette Central Catholic on the 6th.
