Recap: Fairview Knights vs. Palmer Ridge Bears
The Fairview Knights struggled with assists on Thursday (the Palmer Ridge Bears had 800% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Fairview took a 44-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Palmer Ridge. Fairview has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Fairview still got an impressive performance from Remy Tolar, who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. Tolar scored a full 51.5% of Fairview's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Chang, who scored 8 points along with 7 rebounds.
Taylor Peterson was the offensive standout of the matchup as she dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds. Corinna Arellano was another key contributor, scoring 4 points.
Fairview's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Palmer Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Coronado the next time they take the court. Palmer Ridge will head out to face Coronado at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, while Fairview will head out to face them at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
