Basketball Game Preview: Central Christian Comets vs. Mansfield Christian Flames

Central Christian hasn't had much luck against Mansfield Christian recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Central Christian Comets will welcome the Mansfield Christian Flames at 1:00 p.m.

On Thursday, Central Christian ended up a good deal behind Independence and lost 47-33.

Meanwhile, Mansfield Christian entered their tilt with Crestline on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They claimed a resounding 62-11 victory over the Bulldogs. The Flames have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 37 points or more this season.

Mansfield Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.6 points per game. As for Central Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.

Central Christian couldn't quite finish off Mansfield Christian in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 and fell 45-42. Can Central Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
