Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Westfield). They were the clear victors by a 7-2 margin over the Crown Point Bulldogs on Saturday. The contest was close at halftime, but Westfield turned on the heat in the second half with four goals.

The win (which was Westfield's third in a row) raised their record to 12-1-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three matchups. As for Crown Point, they moved to 13-2 with that defeat, which also ended their 12-match winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Westfield will challenge Carmel at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Westfield's defense better be ready for this one: Carmel have averaged an impressive 3.6 goals per game this season. As for Crown Point, they will face off against Merrillville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crown Point will be up against Merrillville's rather soft defense (which has allowed 7.14 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
