It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Springfield had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Memorial Roughriders with a sharp 4-0 win. Considering Springfield have won 13 matchups by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Kyle Mortus and Will Browning scored all four of Springfield's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 64 goals.

The victory (which was Springfield's sixth in a row) raised their record to 17-1-1. As for Memorial, they moved to 15-3-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-match winning streak.

Looking ahead, Springfield will square off against Southview at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Southview's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Springfield's offense will have their work cut out for them. Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
