Volleyball Recap: Liberty Gets Some Payback Against Summers County

Liberty had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Summers County Bobcats on Tuesday. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played on October 23rd.

Liberty started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final set scores wound up at 21-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-21.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Summers County, their win brought them up to 1-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Richwood at 6:00 p.m. on September 8. As for Summers County, they will head out to face off against Wyoming East at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
