Baseball Recap: Centennial Takes a Loss

Centennial made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Westerville South, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Stars fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 6-4 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Stars have suffered since March 31st.

Centennial saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Barnes, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Centennial's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-7. As for Westerville South, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centennial will challenge Reynoldsburg at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Stars are facing the Raiders at the right time seeing as the Raiders are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Westerville South, they will take on Hayes at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
