 Cox can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent  matchup  on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Bayside Marlins as the Cox Falcons made off with  an  8-2 win. Cox had a rough season last year, but they look ready to turn that poor record around this year.
  Ella Athey-Stapleton made a big impact no matter where she played. She  struck out six batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off   five  hits (and not a single walk). Athey-Stapleton has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings every time she's  pitched this season. Athey-Stapleton was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 4-for-4 with a  home run, three  RBI,  and a  double.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Alexa Colon, who  went 3-for-4 with two  RBI and a  double. Another player making a difference was  Daisy Kriz, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 The  victory for Cox keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. Those good results were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.0 runs per game. As for Bayside, they now  have a losing record at 0-1-2.
 Cox will head out on the road to  take on  Salem at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Cox's pitching crew has only allowed 0.5  runs per game  this season, so Salem's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Bayside, they will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against First Colonial at 4:00  p.m.
