Baseball Recap: Isle of Wight Academy Takes a Loss

Isle of Wight Academy and The Covenant squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Isle of Wight Academy had to settle for second. They lost 11-0 to the Eagles. The Chargers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Isle of Wight Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Wells, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base.

Isle of Wight Academy is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-8. As for The Covenant, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Isle of Wight Academy nor The Covenant have any future games scheduled.
