Basketball Recap: North Sanpete Comes Up Short

North Sanpete played a tough match on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 53-24 loss at the hands of the Richfield Wildcats. Having soared to a lofty 55 points in the game before, the Hawks couldn't push the score so high this time.

Evie Kendall was North Sanpete's leading scorer, having posted six points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Richfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Abbee Albrecht, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards. Albrecht is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Jordyn Bagley was another key player, putting up 17 points and three steals.

North Sanpete's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Richfield, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

North Sanpete will welcome Gunnison Valley at 3:00 p.m. on December 27th. As for Richfield, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 38-33 victory against Beaver on the 20th.
