Recap: Klein Collins Tigers vs. Klein Bearkats
The Klein Collins Tigers entered their tilt with the Klein Bearkats with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Klein Collins came out on top against Klein by a score of 23-14 on Friday. Given Klein Collins' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while Klein is ranked 349th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Klein Collins' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tucker Parks, who threw for 288 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Parks hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Rodny Ojo, who picked up 82 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Klein Collins' victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-1. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Klein, Klein Forest, and Waller. As for Klein, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Klein Collins will look to defend their home field on Friday against Cypress Ranch at 7:00 p.m. Klein does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
