Volleyball Game Preview: Independence Patriots vs. Weddington Warriors

Independence is 0-3 against Weddington since August of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Patriots will venture away from home to challenge the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Weddington took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Independence, who comes in off a win.

Independence is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over McDowell.

Meanwhile, Weddington came up short against Marvin Ridge on Wednesday, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-7, 25-12.

Independence has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Weddington, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-5.

Independence couldn't quite get it done against Weddington when the teams last played back in August as they fell 2-0. Can the Patriots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
