Basketball Game Preview: Ellsworth Bearcats vs. Republic County Buffaloes

The Ellsworth Bearcats just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Republic County Buffaloes at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Thursday, Ellsworth was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 41-37 to Larned.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Republic County, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They snuck past Lyons with a 45-41 win on Friday.

Ellsworth's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5-1. As for Republic County, their victory ended a 15-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-13.

Everything came up roses for Ellsworth against Republic County when the teams last played back in January, as the squad secured a 62-35 win. Will Ellsworth repeat their success, or does Republic County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
