Ocean Springs is 8-2 against D'Iberville since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Greyhounds will be playing at home against the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. Ocean Springs is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Ocean Springs beat Biloxi 6-2. That's two games straight that the Greyhounds have won by exactly four runs.

Kylie Untisz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kerrigan Scott, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Laynee Davis, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, D'Iberville didn't have quite enough to beat St. Martin on Tuesday and fell 7-6. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by just one run.

Piper Rushing was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Addison Mosley was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

The victory made it two in a row for Ocean Springs and bumps their season record up to 15-13. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for D'Iberville, they now have a losing record of 12-13.

D'Iberville's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Ocean Springs hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .382. It's a different story for D'Iberville, though, as they've only averaged .251. Will they be able to contain Ocean Springs' hitters?

Ocean Springs skirted past D'Iberville 3-1 when the teams last played back in March. Will the Greyhounds repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
