Softball Game Preview: Reseda Regents vs. Jordan Bulldogs

The Reseda Regents will face off against the Jordan Bulldogs at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Reseda will bounce into Wednesday's match after beating Canoga Park, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Regents blew past the Hunters 22-2 on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Regents needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Fuentes Thereze was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four stolen bases, and four runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Jhoana Moreno, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Jordan had no problem doing just that on Monday. Everything went their way against the Vanguards as they made off with an 18-5 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Reseda has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.0 runs over those games. As for Jordan, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
