Soccer Recap: Seckman Comes Up Short

After flying high against Farmington on Wednesday, Seckman came back down to earth. The Jaguars lost 5-0 to the Ladue Horton Watkins Rams on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Seckman can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri soccer rankings (they are ranked 87th, while Ladue Horton Watkins are ranked eighth).

Seckman's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-7. As for Ladue Horton Watkins, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3.

Looking ahead, Seckman will be playing in front of their home fans against Jackson at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Ladue Horton Watkins, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Kearney on the 2nd.
