Softball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 12-2 to the Brawley Wildcats. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 18-4 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Victoria Lozano made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Lea Zavala also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Central now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Brawley, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-12.

Looking ahead, Brawley will square off against Eastlake at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Central will be paying especially close attention to the Wildcats' game: after the Wildcats faces off against the Titans, they'll take on Central again at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
