Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Glastonbury

Glastonbury had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Farmington River Hawks on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Guardians sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Glastonbury found their leader in sophomore Abby Kantor, who had 12 digs and two assists. Lexi Marques also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Glastonbury was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 16 consecutive matchups.

When it comes to explaining why Farmington lost, don't look at Delaney Murphy. Despite the final result, she had 25 digs and three aces. Murphy has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last seven times she's played.

Glastonbury's win bumped their record up to 28-3-2. As for Farmington, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 19-8.

Glastonbury has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Greenwich on the 15th. Farmington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
