Preview: Jordan vs. Morton Ranch
The Jordan Warriors will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against the Morton Ranch Mavericks at 7:15 p.m. Jordan will be strutting in after a victory while Morton Ranch will be coming in after a loss.
Jordan can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Saturday. They put the hurt on Tompkins with a sharp 4-1 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Jordan.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Aiden Erol and
Kaelen Vilarson, who scored all four of Jordan's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 13 so far this season.
Meanwhile, Morton Ranch's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Friday after their sixth straight defeat. They fell just short of Tompkins by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Morton Ranch can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 390th, while Tompkins is ranked 53rd).
Jordan's victory bumped their record up to 7-4-2. As for Morton Ranch, they dropped their record down to 3-7-1 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Jordan took their win against Morton Ranch in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 3-0. Will Jordan repeat their success, or does Morton Ranch have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
