Preview: Fremont Silverwolves vs. Westlake Thunder
The Fremont Silverwolves will be playing in front of their home fans against the Westlake Thunder at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Fremont and nine for Westlake.
Two weeks ago, Fremont suffered a rough 38-17 loss at the hands of Farmington.
Despite the defeat, Fremont saw an underclassman step up: Slade Parker rushed for 94 yards on only ten carries, and also threw for 164 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Westlake ended up a good deal behind Lone Peak on Friday and lost 28-13. While losing is never fun, Westlake can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah football rankings (they are ranked 58th, while Lone Peak is ranked ninth).
Fremont has not been sharp this season, as they've lost eight of their first ten matches, which leaves them at a 2-8 record this season. As for Westlake, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 1-9.
