Soccer Game Preview: Norman vs. Putnam City West

The Norman Tigers will head out to take on the Putnam City West Patriots at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Norman took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Southmoore 1-0. The win continues a trend for Norman in their matchups with Southmoore: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Putnam City West had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They put the hurt on Wolves with a sharp 4-1 victory.

Norman now has a winning record of 6-5-2. As for Putnam City West, the win got them back to even at 7-7-1.

Norman skirted past Putnam City West 2-1 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
