Softball Game Preview: Rice Lake Warriors vs. River Falls Wildcats

For the second straight game, Rice Lake will face off against River Falls. The Warriors will square off against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Rice Lake barely beat River Falls the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Wildcats on Tuesday. The Warriors not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 5th (when they won 13-2).

For River Falls' part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was MORGAN KIVEL, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.

River Falls has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.1 runs over those games. As for Rice Lake, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-10.
