Volleyball Recap: Foothill Has No Trouble Against Orland

Foothill's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Orland Trojans. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Foothill was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-9, 25-15.

Foothill now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Orland, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Foothill and Orland could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Cougars will take on Oroville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (720 vs. 356). Meanwhile, Orland (ranked 1000th) will meet Shasta (ranked 338th) at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
