Basketball Recap: The Lab School of Washington Skates Past Siena with Ease

On Thursday, The Lab School of Washington Dragons humbled Siena with a 70-30 victory. With the Dragons ahead 43-17 at the half, the game was all but over already.

The Lab School of Washington was led to victory by Donovan Harris and Matai Shacter-Wheeler. Harris went 11 for 16 on his way to 28 points, while Shacter-Wheeler went 9 of 11 en route to 22 points and four steals. Harris' evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Bumbray, who posted six points and nine rebounds.

The Lab School of Washington is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Siena, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. The Lab School of Washington will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Yeshiva at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Siena also won't see the court for a while: their next match is against Barrie at 4:00 p.m. on February 3, 2025.
