Baseball Recap: Kings Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Laton last Friday, Kings Christian came back down to earth. The Crusaders fell just short of the Wonderful College Prep Academy Wolves by a score of 7-6 on Friday. If the Crusaders were looking for revenge after losing 5-3 to the Wolves when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Caiden Irwin made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Revious, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Kings Christian dropped their record down to 4-8-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Wonderful College Prep Academy, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-8.

Kings Christian and Wonderful College Prep Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Crusaders see the field they'll take on Alpaugh at 4:15 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Wonderful College Prep Academy, their break will end when they face Orange Cove at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
