Soccer Game Preview: Berkner vs. Dallas Jesuit

The Berkner Rams will head out to face off against the Dallas Jesuit Rangers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Berkner will head into Tuesday's contest after some sweet revenge against Irving: Berkner made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Irving, but still couldn't quite topple them. Berkner never let Irving onto the board and left with a 3-0 win on Tuesday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Rams' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 220th, while the Tigers are ranked tenth).

Meanwhile, Dallas Jesuit entered their tilt with Richardson on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They had just enough and edged the Eagles out 1-0. The Rangers' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four games.

Dallas Jesuit pushed their record up to 7-1-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four matchups. As for Berkner, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3-2 record this season.

Berkner might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Dallas Jesuit in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Berkner avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
