Basketball Preview: West Jordan Jaguars vs. Granger Lancers
Two dominant guards in Colton Blackham and Daudi Aweyso are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The West Jordan Jaguars will head out on the road to take on the Granger Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Jordan will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
Even though Hunter scored an imposing 59 points on Friday, West Jordan still came out on top. West Jordan walked away with a 68-59 win over the Wolverines.
Meanwhile, Granger took a serious blow against the Soaring Eagle on Friday, falling 81-53. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Granger in their matchups with the Soaring Eagle: they've now lost four in a row.
West Jordan pushed their record up to 10-10 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Granger, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.
Everything came up roses for West Jordan against the Lancers in their previous matchup back in January as the team secured a 65-28 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Jordan since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
