Softball Recap: Downey Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Downey's offense. They came up short against the Enochs Eagles on Thursday, falling 10-0. The Knights have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

Downey's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Enochs, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Downey will head out on the road to face off against Gregori at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Enochs, they will venture away from home to square off against Modesto at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Modesto is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.
