Softball Recap: Granville Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Granville came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Lake George Lakers 15-2. The Golden Horde might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by seven runs or more this season.

Lily Olsen made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Olsen was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Caroline Baker was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lillian Baker, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Granville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Granville's record now sits at 7-3. As for Lake George, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Granville is set to square off against their familiar foe Hadley Luzerne at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Lake George will take on rival Fort Edward at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
