Soccer Game Preview: Windsor vs. Canon City

The Windsor Wizards will square off against the Canon City Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Windsor is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

Windsor's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Riverdale Ridge. Give Windsor's defense some credit: that's the team's sixth straight shutout.

Ella Crotts and Braely Martinez scored both of Windsor's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 19 goals.

Meanwhile, Canon City unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They and Palmer finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw. The result kept Canon City happy, as they haven't lost a game since April 12th.

Windsor's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four games. Canon City's draw makes their record 5-6-4 this season.
