Basketball Recap: June Buchanan Comes Up Short

June Buchanan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Buckhorn Wildcats, falling 69-23. The Crusaders lost against the Wildcats in their previous head to head back in December of 2018, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 68-59 score last time.

June Buchanan's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Buckhorn, the win snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 2-9 record.

June Buchanan will face off against Letcher County Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Buckhorn, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 73-42 victory against Cordia on the 28th.
