Parke Heritage is 2-8 against South Vermillion since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Wolves will head out on the road to face off against the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Parke Heritage gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They put the hurt on Crawfordsville with a sharp 18-8 win. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Athenians recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Alexis McAmis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and four unearned) runs on five hits.

At the plate, Parke Heritage got a massive performance out of Paisley Hartman, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave Hartman a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Birkley Schelsky, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Parke Heritage was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .537. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Vermillion). Everything went their way against Seeger on Thursday as they made off with an 18-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won four games by ten runs or more so far this season.
South Vermillion pushed their record up to 5-6 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Parke Heritage, their record now sits at 6-10.
Parke Heritage suffered a grim 13-1 defeat to South Vermillion in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
