For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Crest and Southeast have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Monday. Crest was the clear victor by a 13-3 margin over Southeast. Crest might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by ten runs or more this season.
Henry White was incredible, scoring three runs while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Drake Weir also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Crest always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southeast only posted an OBP of .333.
Crest's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Southeast, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.
Crest will head out on the road to face off against Olpe at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southeast, they will welcome Cherryvale at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
