Softball Recap: Fontana Comes Up Short

Fontana lost against San Gorgonio back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Steelers lost 19-7 to the Spartans. The Steelers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fontana saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylynn Colclasure, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

Fontana's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for San Gorgonio, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fontana will host Calvary Baptist at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Steelers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 16.3 runs per game this season. As for San Gorgonio, they will be playing at home against Canyon Springs at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
