Baseball Game Preview: Bartlett Hawks vs. Huntley Red Raiders

The Bartlett Hawks will head out to face off against the Huntley Red Raiders at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Bartlett has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight losses, while Huntley will come in with three straight wins.

Bartlett came up short against Normal Community on Thursday, falling 7-1.

Bartlett got a good showing from Sean O'Reilley, who pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. O'Reilley has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Bartlett saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Colaizzi, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Vince Kamarat also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Huntley got the win against South Elgin on Thursday by a conclusive 9-1. That's two games straight that the Red Raiders have won by exactly eight runs.

Huntley's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Bartlett, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6-1.
