Volleyball Game Preview: Franklin Panthers vs. Barnstable Red Hawks

The Franklin Panthers will square off against the Barnstable Red Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

On Monday, Franklin made easy work of Mansfield and carried off a 3-0 win.

While Franklin won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-12, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Barnstable got the win against Bridgewater-Raynham on Wednesday by a conclusive 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Red Hawks in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won nine in a row.

Barnstable was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-21, 25-19.

The win got Barnstable back to even at 6-6. As for Franklin, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Franklin has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 11.1 aces per game. However, it's not like Barnstable struggles in that department as they've been averaging 10.1 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
