Volleyball Recap: Mercy's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Mercy entered their tilt with Lyman Hall on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 3-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Trojans back in September, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

Mercy was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 25-14.

Mercy was led to victory by Kacy Dickson and Sarah Carter. Dickson had 13 digs and four assists, while Carter had 12 digs and seven kills. That's the most digs Carter has posted over her last nine contests.

Mercy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces in four consecutive matchups.

Mercy's record is now 7-10. As for Lyman Hall, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-10.

Mercy has already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Montville on the 13th. As for Lyman Hall, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against New London on the 13th.
