Volleyball Recap: Conotton Valley's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Conotton Valley hadn't done well against Tuscarawas Valley recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Rockets walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Trojans. The win was nothing new for the Rockets as they're now sitting on three straight.

Conotton Valley had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-9, 25-12, 25-13.

Conotton Valley found their leader in sophomore Brooklyn Kelley, who had ten digs and two aces.

Conotton Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Conotton Valley's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Tuscarawas Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Conotton Valley will challenge Buckeye Trail at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Tuscarawas Valley, they will take on Dover at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday.
