It was a good run, but Magdalena unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 45-44 to the Eunice Cardinals.

Magdalena's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Eunice, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Magdalena and Jal will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Eunice, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hobbs at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday.
