Softball Recap: Mt. Enterprise Wildcats vs. Apple Springs Eagles
Mt. Enterprise took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They blew past the Apple Springs Eagles 15-0. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.
The team relied heavily on Mallory Innerarity, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was MaKenzie Alsup, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Mt. Enterprise always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .655. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Apple Springs only posted an OBP of .154.
Apple Springs' loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-3.
