Basketball Game Preview: San Marino Titans vs. Cathedral Phantoms

The San Marino Titans will venture away from home to square off against the Cathedral Phantoms at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in San Marino's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matches.

Last Monday, San Marino blew past Muir, posting a 70-42 win. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Mustangs are ranked 976th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cathedral). They came out on top against Compton by a score of 68-61 on Wednesday. The victory was nothing new for the Phantoms as they're now sitting on four straight.

Cathedral's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for San Marino, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.
