The Murphy Panthers will face off against the Mary G. Montgomery Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

While losing is never fun, Mary G. Montgomery can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 181st, while McGill-Toolen are ranked 21st).

Murphy's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Mary G. Montgomery, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-16-1.
