Basketball Recap: Walnut Springs Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bluff Dale last Tuesday, Walnut Springs came back down to earth. The Walnut Springs Hornets fell 50-39 to the Huckabay Indians on Friday.

Walnut Springs' loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Huckabay, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 11-11.

Walnut Springs will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lingleville at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Huckabay will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Iredell at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
