Softball Recap: Colony Knights vs. Hutchison Hawks

On Saturday, Colony faced Hutchison in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Everything went the Colony Knights' way against the Hutchison Hawks as the Colony Knights made off with a 13-1 victory. Colony might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six matchups by 11 runs or more this season.

Alli Morrissey was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching an inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Morrissey was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

In other batting news, Saibree Noll was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-1. The team also got some help courtesy of Analise Wilson, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

The win (which was Colony's sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-6-2. As for Hutchison, they haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
