Baseball Game Preview: Wilson Wildcats vs. Adamson Leopards

For the second straight game, Wilson will face off against Adamson. The Wildcats will host the Leopards at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Wilson will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Wilson is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They never let Adamson get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by six runs or more this season.

Juan ?JD? Arranda was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

In other batting news, Wilson got a big performance out of Jesus Fermines, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Kalen Sir Leaf, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Wilson pushed their record up to 21-6-1 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Adamson, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-15-1.
