Basketball Recap: Northeast Academy Takes a Loss

Northeast Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to ten on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-4. They came up short against the Christ Covenant Spartans, falling 64-40. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Despite the loss, Northeast Academy still got an impressive performance from Camden White, who shot 63% from the field on his way to 13 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. Those blocks were White's first of the season.

As for Christ Covenant, they pushed their record up to 4-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. That looming 64-40 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Christ Covenant was led to victory by Karson Bagnal and Dylan Cook. Bagnal posted 22 points, while Cook had 14 points. Those 22 points gave Bagnal a new career-high.

Looking ahead, Northeast Academy will take on Bethel Assembly Christian Academy in a tournament on Saturday. As for Christ Covenant, they are taking a road trip to take on Faith Christian Academy on Friday. This will be the Spartans' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
