Basketball Recap: Isaac Kaiser's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Floyd Central over New Albany

Floyd Central won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They came up short against the New Albany Bulldogs, falling 92-66. The Highlanders have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Floyd Central's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaac Kaiser, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Reed, who posted 16 points.

Even though they lost, Floyd Central smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.

Floyd Central now has a losing record at 2-3. As for New Albany, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
