Basketball Recap: Bradford Comes Up Short

Bradford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Milton-Union Bulldogs, falling 51-30. The Railroaders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-7.

Leading Milton-Union to victory were Jenna Brumbaugh and Kate Copp. Brumbaugh went 10 for 18 en route to 25 points along with six rebounds and five steals, while Copp dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 boards. Those 11 boards gave Copp a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Layman, who posted four points and five rebounds.

Bradford's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Milton-Union, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.

Bradford is taking a road trip to challenge Tri-Village at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Milton-Union, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Houston at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Milton-Union is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.1 points per game this season.
